October Curriculum

Theme: pumpkins

Language Arts: Reading groups A-Z, Journals, Author study: Kevin Henkes, Writing Portfolio

Grammar: Capitals, Endings, Nouns

Spelling: Grade 2s , review double letter phonograms, phonogram quiz – everyone

Math: 2D and 3D shapes

Gr 1 – addition facts +2,3

Gr 2 – addition to 100 with no re grouping

Science – Continue with Sun, Moon and Stars

Socials – What is a Community/What Community do we live in?

Bible – Noah, Tower of Babel, Thanksgiving

Bible Memory – Grade 1 – Psalm 23:1-4, Grade 2 – Psalm 23:1-6

PE – relays

Art – pumpkin themed
