Merry Christmas!

I hope that you are enjoying your vacation and enjoying good food and time with family and friends. I wanted to thank you so much for a great finish to 2023. I have so enjoyed teaching your children and am very thankful for your help and support. Thank you for the lovely cards and thoughtful gifts. I am so appreciative of your care and support.

Christmas Art

During the month of December, we have been focusing on Christmas. Here are some of our Art projects:

Primary Christmas Concert

Tomorrow is our big Christmas Concert! We will be rehearsing today and getting ready to dazzle you!

Students should come dressed in their Christmas best! No jeans or uniforms, please! Although, boys may wear their uniform pants if they need to.

Doors will open for parents to get their seats at 9:00am and we will begin at 9:30am. The programme should be about an hour and the students will be dismissed from their classrooms at 10:30am.

Centre Play

As we are winding down the school year and the students are winding up for the holidays, we are doing a Christmas Count Down in our classroom. The students open an activity or priviledge each day. Yesterday, we did our center play in the classroom next door. Here are a few pictures of the students doing play time in Mrs. Folkerts classroom.

Library

Thursday is our last Library block for 2023. Our Librarian, Mrs. Britz, is asking that all books be brought back into the Library.

Primary Christmas Concert

We are working hard to prepare for our Primary Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 21st at 9:30am. All parents, grandparents and family is welcome!

Grade 1/ 2 students are asked to wear their Christmas best: skirts, dresses, dress shirts etc. Our Music teacher is asking for no jeans or uniforms. Boys may wear their uniform pants if they do not have any dress pants.

Spelling words

This is our last set of words for this year! These are a few words that are often mis-spelled in our daily work and a very important word I left off of our Christmas list! I will introduce them on Monday, December 11th and test them on Friday, December 15th.

Highroad Helps
