Bible Memory for March and April

Matthew 28:5-7

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galillee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

March Curriculum

Here we are getting very close to March! As this is a shorter month, we will tackle a bit less of our gurriculum goals!

Theme: Spring

Language Arts:

-Reading: continue to work on our reading levels pushing towards our goal of level F. My three groups are currently at the following levels: C, D, E

-Writing: we will begin to focus on independently writing one sentence that includes a capital and a period.

–Math: introduction to subtraction

-begin Money Unit

-Science: Matter: solids, liquids, Gases

–Socials: Mapping

–Bible Memory: Matthew 28:5-7

Pink Shirt Day

I was so sad to miss Pink Shirt Day yesterday! It looks like fun was had and good learning too!

Math Mayhem

Wednesday, February 22nd is our annual Math Mayhem. Children are invited to come with their parents to play math games in the gym from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Our Highschool students have been working hard to prepare fun and engaging Math games for us to try. I hope to see you there!

Pink Shirt Day

Wednesday, February 22nd, is Pink Shirt Day. Students are invited to wear all shades of pink to celebrate kindness and inclusion. We will be spending the day talking about how we can be kind to others.

Valentine’s Day

I love Valentine’s Day! Thank you so much for the chocolates, flowers and coffee cards! I feel loved and blessed! We had a great day today learning how to love each other!
