Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt Day is the culmination of our month long focus on love, inclusion and friendships. We have worked hard and hopefully learned a lot, as well.

Pink Shirt Day

Just a reminder that Pink Shirt Day is on Wednesday, February 24th. Some of the boys are concerned that they don’t have or don’t want to wear a pink shirt and I let them know that it is their choice. They are most welcome to wear their uniform if they prefer!

New Spelling Words

Changes in Classroom Covid Protocol

As you may already know, last week new guidelines for schools in regards to covid protocols were issued. One of the biggest changes was masks in the classroom for teachers. As of today, all teachers and EAs at HRA will be wearing masks in the classrooms unless they are able to maintain a distance of 6 feet. The children came into a classroom that was arranged a little differently this morning! They were very curious about the changes and we had a conversation about the rules changing and that I would be wearing a mask more in the classroom. We are learning how to be flexible and how to make changes in the way we do things!

Valentine’s Day

We are very excited today to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The children love to mail their valentines and see others filling up their mailboxes. It really does fill up their love tanks. Thank you so much to parents who sent little gifts along for me! It is such a blessing to feel the love! Thank you to parents who sent treats along to share for the day! Here is a clip of us starting off the day with some heart math, colouring and mailing our valentines.

Tumbling

We are tumbling! We are definitely missing our field trip opportunities, but are doing our best to have fun with the equipment that we have. Here is a short video of some of the boys practicing their front rolls:

Valentine’s Mailboxes

The mailboxes were hung on the wall with care, in hopes that many valentines would be mailed there.

We will be mailing our Valentine’s on Wednesday, February 10th. It will also be a colour dress up day: white, pink, red
