Next week we are going to be working on Christmas Spelling words. I know they are challenging for the Grade Ones so although they will practice all ten, I will only test them on the first five. I will give them the option because I think some of them will enjoy the challenge. I will introduce them on Monday, December4th and test them on Friday, December 8th.

Thank you to the parents who came in to help us this morning and the parents who sent supplies. The students were super excited to be ine
the kitchen. I got side tracked in the happy chaos of chopping and pouring and forgot to take kitchen photos, but I did get a few of the kids slurping up the soup!
There was quite alot left over so I am taking it home to add onions, spices and other adult flavours and then one of our staff members who volunteers with Cyrus Centre will be taking it there to feed the teens for lunch.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29th, we will be making our chicken noodle soup. Thank you to the parents who are sending ingredients. If you could send them today or tomorrow morning, that would be great! Parents who are helping in the kitchen, feel free to come on in when you drop your students off for school. We were only able to get the kitchen earlier on in the morning so we will start right away!

Many of you have asked if you should return the reading books and I have said to keep them or dispose of them, but as the books are getting longer and my photocopying tab is growing, I have changed my mind. Could you return the reading books when you are finished reading them? Thanks so much!
