Valentine’s Day is coming up and for us in the Primary department it is a wonderful day of celebrating friendship and our love for each other. We will be decorating our classroom, doing Valentine’s Day Art, reading Valentine’s Day books, eating sweet treats and mailing cards to each other.
Here are some things to note:
- This year we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 10th.
- Students are welcome to wear Valentine’s casual with pink, red or white accents.
- Bringing Valentine’s Day cards to mail is optional, but if you choose to write cards, please write a card for each student in the classroom so that noone feels left out.
- I encourage you to let the students write their own cards out. They are very capable with just a little help!
- I will have the children glue a list of all of the student’s names in their Planners to help you make sure that there is a card for each student.
- I would love to have some covid friendly treats brought in for the day, such as: mini boxes of smarties, chocolate kisses, candy necklaces or rice krispie treats. If you are able to send a treat, feel free to email me!

There is some cold and clear weather coming our way and with the clear weather often comes wind. We will be going outside even if it is windy. We will definitely be going outside if we get some snow. Please help the kids remember to bring the clothing that they need to be comfortable outside! These little ones have alot of energy to burn off!

Just a reminder that due to covid, we are unable to have lots of students here early before school. It is very challenging to keep the kids separate in cohorts, especially if it is raining. Students are to come to school between 8:45-9:00am if at all possible. Also, as we are doing hand-to-hand transfer, picking up at 2:55pm if at all possible!
