Rainy Weather

October 23rd, 2022

It looks like Fall is upon us at last! I was reminded last week, when we had to stay inside all week due to smoke, how important it is for the children to get outside and run around, use big body movements and be loud. There is rain in the forecast and we do play outside in light rain. The children will be happier if they are dressed for the weather. A rain jacket and rain boot are a big help in our rainy climate. The rain boots help to keep their feet dry and also to keep mud and bark mulch out of the classroom. An extra pain of dry socks in their backpack is also a big help. It is rather uncomfortable to be in wet socks and shoes all day! Thanks for taking the time to help them stay dry in the varying weather we get!

An odd field trip day!

October 19th, 2022

The smoke put a wrinkle in our plans for today, but we made a quick pivot and re-planned and then moved forward. Although unusual, the children seemed happy and we had a fun day together. We picked a pumpkin at Walmart, had hot chocolate and a Timbit and finished up with a movie and popcorn. Thank you so much to the parents who came along and helped make it happen!
