Salvation Army Food Drive

November 23rd, 2021

We will begin our Salvation Army Food drive on December 1st. Our goal as a school is to raise $6,000 by December 15th. The Salvation Army has asked for cash as their buying power is  much higher than ours. All money can be brought to the school office. The office can accept cash, etransfer and debit.

If we reach our goal, students will celebrate with an animal dress up day in the New Year.

Parent/Teacher Interviews online only

November 22nd, 2021

We have also been asked not to come into the school on Friday to conserve fuel and keep cars off the road. All of our interview will be online. I will send you an email with a link and we can meet together that way. I look forward to chatting with you!

Bowling Cancelled

November 22nd, 2021

Oh my, the disappointments keep coming! I was just informed that our bowling for Wednesday, November 24th has been cancelled. We have been informed that as a school all field trips must be cancelled due to fuel restrictions and people travelling as little as possible.

I have promised the students a Christmas movie and treats for the afternoon to soften the blow. They were gracious and moved on quickly! Phew!

A very big “THANK YOU” to the families who have given cash donations and donated new books and books from their home libraries. The newly donated books will be added to the library with a picture of the family placed at the front as a thank you!

Christmas Decorating Party

November 22nd, 2021

I am planning a Christmas decorating party in our classroom for December 1st to kick off the Christmas Season. Are there any parents who would be willing to send in snacks? Due to covid restrictions our snacks much be cooked and packaged in a commercial kitchen. Examples would be: prepackaged cupcakes or cookies, small chocolates, wagon wheels, small packages of chips, packages of bear paw cookies etc. Iwould love a few snacks to come in for December 1st and then the extras we will spread out through our Christmas celebrations. Feel free to email me if you are able to bring a snack.
