After School Duty
We would like to remind everyone that our staff will be supervising the playground until 3:00. With the sunny weather, we have noticed an increase in the number of children and parents using the playground after school. At 3:00, our duty teachers will blow the whistle, signaling that ALL children need to leave the barkmulch and join their parents. For students without parents present, they will be directed to the lobby. Once the duty teachers blow their whistle three times, students who are with their parents can return to the playground. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of all our students.

Welcome to my classroom! I hope you had an amazing summer full of sunshine, fun and friends! My name is Kim Evans and I will be teaching Grade 1 and 2 for the 2023/2024 school year. I have been teaching at Highroad Academy for 22 years and am looking forward to the start of a new year. Outside of the classroom, horses are my passion and I spent my summer teaching Equine Facilitated Wellness sessions to children.
The classroom is ready to go and I look forward to meeting you on Tuesday, September 5th. Just a reminder that our school day will be starting earlier than usual. The classroom will be open at 8:20am and the bell will ring at 8:40am. Our first day together will be shorter than usual and the children will be dismissed at noon. Please pick your child up from the classroom after school. I have an information packet ready to go that will hopefully answer any questions that you might have. I can also be reached at kevans@highroadacademy.com.
