We are cleaning up our classroom and packing it up for the summer. Could you send along an empty backpack or bag tomorrow to bring home the last of our treasures?!

Knight Days

Today is our last uniform day! Students may wear Knight wear on Wednesday and Thursday!

Movie Afternoon

In Bible, we have been studying Moses and the children of Israel. On Wednesday afternoon, I would like to show the movie “The Prince of Egypt.” There are some suspenseful scenes made more suspenseful with the music. If this movie is a concern for you, could you send me an email and let me know! We will also be having some popcorn with it. Thank you to the parents who were willing to send popcorn along!

Year End Field trip

It was a bit wet and we had to make a change of plans, but fun was had by all!

Field trip Change

We are going to make a bit of a change to today’s field trip due to weather and temperature forecasts.

9:30 – leave for play Abby

10-12:00 – Play Abby

12:00-12:30 – Eat our lunches at play Abby

1:00 – Option #1 Vedder River Playground (near dog park and Amble coffee cart)

-if it’s not pouring

1:00- Option #2 Movie and Popcorn in the classroom (if it’s pouring)

Fun Day

Fun Day was so much fun! The kids had a blast and enjoyed the variety of activities. Here are a few of the fun things we did:

Scout’s Farm

We had a lovely day at the farm yesterday! The weather was perfect and the kids had such a good time playing outside and leaving the classroom behind. Thank you to the parents who came along to help and thank you to the Klementis family for hosting us and bringing watermelon and posicles!

Play Abby and Garrison Spray park

On Monday, June 19th is our big field trip finally! It is a full day of fun!

Play Abby:

• the kids must be wearing socks to enter the play park
• our play time is 9-noon

Garrison Spray Park:

• the weather is not supposed to be good so we will be making decisions around lunch time as to how our afternoon will look. If it is pouring rain, we will eat our lunches at school and head to the spray park for a reduced time 1:30-2:30. If we go with this alternate plan, I will blog it!
• if it is not pouring, we will head to the spray park directly from Play Abby and should arrive to eat our lunches there around 12:30. We will then play at the park until 2:30.
• It is helpful if the students have their bathing suits on!

Time Change for Scout’s Farm field trip

Just a change in time for the field trip. I had booked the bus for 10:30am. If you want to follow the bus or join us on the bus, please meet us at the school at 10:30. We will be up at the farm by 11:00am.

Scout’s Farm Field trip

We are so excited for our farm field trip on Thursday, June 15th! It truly is my happy place and I look forward to showing it to you! Parents and siblings are welcome to join us! The address is 48688 Elkview Road. We will be leaving the school at 11:00am and returning for 2:55pm. You can follow the bus up if you like or there will be spots available on the bus if you would like to travel with us.

Things to remember:

-playclothes that can get dirty

-waterbottle as there is no drinking water easily assessible

-lunch that does not need to be heated up

-sunscreen applied before school as the weather will be warm and we will be outside

-bugspray if you are worried about mosquitoes (the hot spring has brought them out early and in full force)
