My newest portrait

November 12th, 2020

Miss Evans as seen through the eyes of a 6 year old. The detail is really clear from my messy bun to the mask I wear on a lanyard around my neck!

Primary Christmas Concert

November 12th, 2020

We are still planning a Primary Christmas Concert, but it will look a little bit different that it has in the past. We will be video taping it in small pieces class by class and then editting it and putting it all together so that you can watch it as a family at home and send it out to your extended family.

The Grade 1s will be dressing up as Mary and Joseph and will be starting off our Christmas story with the birth of baby Jesus. The taping will take place on November 3oth and the students may come to school in their costumes. The girls may bring a baby if they would like to. The boys can bring a stuffy or two of any animals that may have been in the stables. Costumes do not have to be too elaborate!

I’ll take some pics so you can see how cute they are!

Parent/Teacher Interviews

November 12th, 2020

Just a recap for our Parent/Teacher interviews on Monday, November 16th:

  • Please double check the schedule below for your time slot.
  • I will send you an email link to join the meeting. If you do not receive the link, please check your junk mail and then email me as I will be watching for your emails.
  • I only received one request for a personal meeting so that leads me to believe that we are meeting electronically. If that is not correct, please email me!
  • If your name is not on the Monday schedule, which is now full, I have sent you a meeting request date and time via email. I would love a confirmation for those meetings.
  • I look forward to meeting with you to brag about how hard your kids are working!

New Phonograms

November 9th, 2020

Here are our new phonograms for the next two weeks:

Poppies are for peace

November 9th, 2020

We have been learning about Remembrance Day and the symbols we use to honour those who have fought for our freedom.

Daily Health Check

November 9th, 2020

Just a reminder that each morning on the way to school that parents are to be asking their children if they are healthy. I am asked to ask them each morning if they had a Health Check. The children look at me in a very confused way and feel like they have not had a Health Check. If you could try to remember each morning, that would be a great help!

November Memory Verse

November 6th, 2020

Due to a cancelled Chapel in October, our Memory Verse learning got interrupted, but we are working on getting our Chapel schedule ironed out for November. Here is the Memory Verse that we will be working on:

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
