Apple Tasting

We did some apple tasting today. The clear winner was Fuiji.

Knight Day

Don’t forget that Friday, September 13th will be our first Knight Day of the year!

Show and Tell

For the month of September, our Show and Tell theme will be following along with our Social Studies Unit on Families. Students are welcome to bring a photo of their family or of their family pets. We will do two each day until each child has had a turn. Fell free to send in your photo whenever you like. We would love to put them up on our bulletin board when we are done.

Pizza Lunch

Tuesday, September 10th will be our first pizza lunch. Students can bring $2 or buy a pizza card from the office. The first few pizza lunches are a bit stressful for the students as the procedure is a little bit different from Kindergarten. They students will sign up for pizza with me on Tuesday morning. It would be a big help if you had a conversation with your student before school so that they know if they are ordering pizza or not. All of the students want to order pizza so it can be challenging if they don’t know if they should or not. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Popsicle Cuties

It was such a hot and sweaty start to our school year that a popsicle was the perfect way to end the week!

Our New Fish

Please welcome “Goldie” to our classroom! I cannot claim to understand the naming techniques of six year olds. I am thankful that Goldie won out as Fluffie and Unicorn we close seconds.

Emergency Kits

Emergency Kits from Kindergarten are in the lockers to take home after school today. A letter will be sent home in the coming days to remind you which items to include in the Emergency Kits and then they can be refreshed and sent back to class.
