Taves Farm Field trip

I have finally locked down a place and a date for our first field trip. I had my doubts for a week or so as I made phone calls, emails and texts and waited impatiently to be told that different places couldn’t take us!

I am excited to take the students on their first field trip in Grade One to Taves Family Farm on October 29th at 12:30! Taves farm has very specific rules that we need to follow in order to go. This is new for me!

-They are limiting the number of parents who can come along. Our group cannot exceed 32.

-Parents will be charged $10 and I have to collect it and pay for our group with one payment.

Because our class is small this year, it does leave room for quite a few parents to come along. Please send your $10 in cash with the permission slip and I will make a list of who paid first. Also, don’t forget that the school requires a criminal records check. It is good for two years so if you did one last year, then you are still covered. You can email the office to confirm.

Although it is more difficult to plan and prepare, I know it will be worth it because the kids are so excited! The permission slip will be coming home today after school!
