Pumpkin Picking

October 16th, 2020

A picture from last night when I set up the “Pumpkin Patch.” I call it the calm before the storm.

It was a pumpkin kind of day!

A rainy day is never complete without a good story!

A snack makes every thing better!

I call this one – The Storm

Robert Munsch Unit

October 14th, 2020

We are enjoying our Robert Munsch Unit and have now read 28 Robert Munsch books! We are now doing some printing and drawing with some of our stories. Our focus is:

  • comprehension of what we read
  • printing letters with good formation on an interlined line
  • know the different between a tall letter and a short letter
  • neat pencil work and erasing
  • drawing to show learning

This beautiful example of work is from Jase!

Pumpkin Picking

October 14th, 2020

We are excited to go out to the garden to pick our pumpkins. It looks like the weather will not be as favourable as I had hoped or as had been predicted. The kids are in Knight Wear so that will help. Please send rain boots and rain jackets, as well as a plastic bag to lug their pumpkin back to the school in! I will take some pictures so that you can see how cute they are!

October 14th, 2020

I am looking for a few magazines that the kids could cut pictures out of for a study of needs and wants in Social Studies. If you have an old magazine or two, we would love to have them!
